  3. About AppleShare 3.6.5

  5. If you have AppleShare versions 3.6, 3.6.1, 3.6.2, or 3.6.4 you should update to AppleShare 3.6.5 before installing Mac OS 8 over a network.

  7. If you have an earlier version of AppleShare, you do not need to install AppleShare 3.6.5.

  9. Installing AppleShare 3.6.5
  10.  
  11. 1. Drag the AppleShare 3.6.5 icon to your closed System Folder icon.

  13. 2. In the dialog box that appears, click OK to place AppleShare in your Extensions folder.

  15. 3. In the next dialog box that appears, click OK to replace your older version of AppleShare with the the newer one.

  17. 4. Restart your computer.
  18.  
  19. 5. Connect to the server you’re using to install Mac OS 8.
  20.  
  21. 6. Double-click the Install Mac OS icon to install the software.
